SEESAW Space is a new flexible co-working space aimed at the creative sector, offering hotdesking, office and meeting spaces in a grade 2 listed building in the centre of Manchester. The front-end design of this website project was hugely important due to the space targeting the creative sector – designers, writers, photographers and so on. The building itself is the key selling point with many original features still in place. But we needed to be creative with our thinking due to the building being empty at the point of beginning the website project. In addition, the website had to integrate with an existing IT system which is used as a CRM and for managing members finances and hourly credits. Following a photo shoot to show off the building’s beauty, we designed a responsive site and applied subtle animation to certain areas. A bespoke built back-end allowed us to fully integrate with existing IT system, passing relevant data between the two entities and allowing SEESAW members to log in to their account for self management of bookings, working hours and meeting rooms. Further development of a downloadable app allows account holders to access the building through integration of door management software.
